Introduction

National Informatics Centre (NIC) Jabalpur is a premier Science & Technology institution of the Government of India, established in 1988 for providing ICT solutions adopting best practices, integrated services and technical solutions in government departments. Since its inception NIC District Centre provides common ICT Infrastructure and support services to government departments with Products and Solutions designed to adopting e-Governance initiatives. NIC has taken various e-Governance activities like Samagra Samajik Surksha Monitoring , e-Uparjan, e-Scholarship, e-District (Lok Seva kendra), Prisoners Management System, National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA), Land Record Computerisation-Bhuabhilekh & Bhunaksha, Polling Party Formation for State Legislative Assembly & Parliament elections, Samadhan Online, NICNET network services, Local Area Network at Collectorate premises and Video Conferencing facility has been appreciated. The services of NIC District Centre, Jabalpur has become an indispensable tool for the District Administration and various other State and Central Government Departments .

Services being offered

NIC Jabalpur provide services to various central , state and other government departments. Centre is imparting computer training to Government employees on use of computer and software applications being implemented by departments. Structured LAN is operational in Collectorate premises. Lease line connectivity extended to High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Divisional Commissioner Office, District & Session Court, CGHS Dispensaries & Head Post Office. Portal based Desktop Video Conferencing has been established between Zila Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat. NIC expedites services in areas of system analysis, software implementation, consultation for software and hardware requirements, digital signature ,web designing, web hosting, and website updation. Videoconferencing services are being used for monitoring of various government projects, review of schemes, public grievances, monitoring of Law and Order, hearings of RTI cases, monitoring of election processes and so on. NIC’s VC services are regularly being used by Hon’ble CM of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Information Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner Jabalpur and officers of Central, State and other departments.
